On the day

Czocha Castle (Zamek Czocha) is a 13th-century fortress on a gneiss rock above Lake Leśnia in Lower Silesia, founded around 1247 and given its fairytale silhouette in a 1910s reconstruction by Bodo Ebhardt. The historic halls can only be seen on a guided tour of about 70 minutes, which climbs to a lookout tower over the Kwisa river and forests — at their most spectacular in autumn.
